WordCamps are not-for-profit events that grow out of the local WordPress communities. In Charleston (South Carolina), our community is made up of people that are active in the Charleston WordPress User Group, and individuals and local businesses who use WordPress on a daily basis for various needs.

According to WordCamp Central:

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.

WordCamp Charleston 2014 will be a one-day event held at the College of Charleston,  and promises to focus on quality content covering all topics relating to WordPress, from a beginner level to developer sessions, and much more.
